ViReal4STEM application Objectives

The core objective of Work Package 2 (WP2) is to design and develop the ViReal4STEM app, an innovative virtual reality (VR) application aimed at inspiring young students—particularly girls—aged 13 to 18 to envision themselves in STEM-related careers.


By leveraging immersive VR technology, the app will provide an engaging and interactive platform where students can explore various STEM disciplines, build self-confidence, and discover the exciting possibilities of a future in STEM.

Educational Methodology

The app will use carefully designed, optimism-inducing interventions to help students visualize themselves as successful professionals in STEM fields.

These experiences are intended to:

  • Strengthen students' STEM identity
  • Foster long-term aspirations in STEM
  • Encourage persistence, particularly among underrepresented groups

Features and User Experience

The ViReal4STEM app will feature:
